Howdy!

The past few months of the troubled US economy has ushered in a lifestyle full of uncertainty and unpredictability.

Hardly a day goes by without our hearing another story about some poor soul losing their job, or worse! Its very frustrating for many to continue living lives the ways we were used to, and not just in the United States, all over the world!

I think that this has been affecting all of us in other ways as well, for instance - I think it might be affecting my Art!

You may not be able to tell at first listen, but if you listen a few times there are subtle nuances to my newest tune that may begin to become apparent to you. Maybe not, you will have to decide for yourselves.

The tune I speak of is called "A Dry Spell". It has a straight forward Rock beat and lulling strings playing chords reminiscent of . . . hmmm, I'm drawing a blank on that one. Oh well.

Every musician or composer has gone through some sort of dry period where things aren't quite coming together, and though that is not the case with this tune, the name seems to fit.

I intended to post this on the first day of April, but since that came and went with about 700 Billion Dollars of US cash, I just posted it on the second of April so no one would get the wrong idea, if you know what I mean.

I also posted a newer mix of "An Eastern Sunset". I can't understand why people look at me strangely when I tell them the name is kind of a joke. I tell them "it's because the sun sets in the West!! Duh! . ."  - Perhaps I should have called it "A Western Sunrise".   Well, so much for my being subtle. ;)

A special thank you to DestinationDawn, for her encouragement and inspiration! Please stop over and listen to her, she's an amazingly versatile and talented Artist!

I wish to thank Alex Moraes and Roger "Skin" Chacon for their collaborative efforts on "Rosto Bonito", which is the correct brazilian translation of "Pretty Face" and NOT "Cara Bonita" which is actually spanish. They are currently putting their music together independently of each other and I will let everyone know once a version is posted.

My next collaboration will be with Ingo Gabriel, who will contribute tracks for the second Robot sortie to commence in a few weeks! Please visit Ingo, Alex, and Roger and support their diverse and excellent musicianship!

There are a few free fan downloads to thank you all for being my friends and family! Your friendship and the music is all that is keeping me sane lately!!!

Sincerely,

Michael David Sherwood

ps. If you do hear anything that is "off" on the new tune, be sure to let me know - I'm just not so certain any more...;)
